Mum very kindly did some weeding for me yesterday while I was out at work. Unfortunately she pulled out my horseradish along with the weeds :-( Fortunately she realised what it was once she'd pulled it out, so she replanted it straight away, but one of the plants has no leaves on anymore and the other one only has one left, so I hope they survive ( Read more... )

This weekend was a blissful weekend of doing nothing. Well I say nothing, but I suppose I should qualify it as not doing anything that involved us having to go anywhere other than to the shops. My cranberry, raspberries and strawberry plants arrived just before we went away for Easter, so I didn't get a chance to plant them out before we went. Not wanting to leave them in their plastic bags too much longer I planted the cranberry and the strawberries out on Tuesday night, lighter evenings are good for that sort of thing ( Read more... )
