My cranberry, raspberries and strawberry plants arrived just before we went away for Easter, so I didn't get a chance to plant them out before we went. Not wanting to leave them in their plastic bags too much longer I planted the cranberry and the strawberries out on Tuesday night, lighter evenings are good for that sort of thing :-)
Last night I planted out my 3 golden raspberries and 3 of the ordinary ones. If I get home in time I’ll do the rest of them tonight. It took a bit longer to plant the stuff out than I'd hoped, since I'm down one garden fork, but fortunately my spade is still in one piece. I must plant the loganberry that has been languishing in a pot for the last year too. Hopefully that will mean I get more than four berries off it this year... I was pleased to see that the strawberry plants had already produced new leaves, having obviously taken very well to their new home in the 24 hours they've been in. Though I was a bit startled at their speed, I wonder if they’ll have taken over the whole garden by the time I get home tonight!
