Tomatoes, lots of freshly chopped basil, fresh mozzarella, red peppers, spinach, and balsamic vinaigrette on ciabatta.

Left the earbuds at home today so I have to endure the sounds of cube culture all day instead of music. To top things off, I made myself slightly late by making a nice, healthy lunch for myself this morning, only to leave it on my counter as I walked out the door. I FAIL AT LIFE.

At a friend's apartment this weekend, I had some grilled salmon and tilapia with kabobs of peppers, onions, and zucchini. I've always loved red pepper and detested green pepper. Call me crazy. The Wisconsin State Fair - located in my hometown of West Allis (or 'Stallis as the locals call it) - is a fun place to be once or twice a year. Lots of animals, a huge expo center of people trying to sell you their As-seen-on-TV products, great food (most of which is terrible for you), piglets racing around a track for a tasy Oreo cookie, but ( Read more... )

Friday night's cruise was a lot of fun. Got to hang out with some very cool people from work and meet a few others that I hadn't met yet. (The 'free' drinks was a definite plus, too.)
