The new store is far from great.  There's a lot of work to be done there.  It's a mess.  No other way to put it.  Operationaly everything is pretty much screwed.  The staff isn't properly trained.  UHG!  So, lot's of fixing to do.  I guess that explains the huge salary increase.  hahaha!

I'm not surprised that we would fail an audit that was performed by our loss prevention partner.  Nobody EVER passes his audits!  However, his comments make this audit not so much a failure.  This audit was a HUGE improvement from last quarter's audit.  We popped on 3 items out of about 70.  Last time there were a lot more.  Our last audit was the ( Read more... )

I have super delicous news reguarding my career, but I can't tell anyone until the formal announcement is made by my district manager.  Let's just say it's a PHENOMENAL promotion. :D

edit:  I'm the new district team leader which translates to I'm a district manager in training.  GOOOOOO ME!!!

For the first time my management staff is FULL!  HOLY SHIT!  I hired the 4th member of our management team on Friday.  He starts tomorrow.  Fuckin FABULOUS!  This means no more working every damn weekend!  One of the luxuries of being store manager is that I'm only required to work one full weekend a month.  OH YEAH!  I'm happy(ish).  He seems ( Read more... )

the district manager for Ann Taylor came into my store looking for me.  She wants to recruit me to be the store manager at the store opening in Annapolis.  I've taken the assessment.  Now the waiting game begins.
