Just looking in to wish everybody a continued merry christmas and all that. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and a slightly less wonderful Christmas Day (non-yay for being annoyed with my sister, but all is better now), though on the whole it's been a good weekend.

Gosh, I've just read another perfect yuletide story,  of the "more-of"-kind. An almost pitch-perfect sequel to I Capture the Castle, called The Account Book written by Ankaret;  with a slightly older and wiser Cassandra writing her debits/credits during the war. I've spent the last couple of hours reading two utterly delightful yuletide stories, both regencies, but very very different.

Lord Wolfe and the Ape-leader is what one commenter said would happen if Georgette Heyer had decided to write a werewolf story. A regency fairytale with a sensible heroine  and a rakish wolfe. And it's het fic, and I adore it ( Read more... )

Went out into the sales with my sister earlier today, not that we really felt like doing a lot of shopping but we did find some stuff at least. Then back home for more lutfisk, and later I followed my sister to the station since she was heading back down south tonight. Had coffee with brother+his wife at Java, so now it feels like I've been to Gothenburg for real. No visit is complete without a coffee at Java. Sister and I did some food shopping, and then she's been busy trying to make saffron cheese cake all evening, while I prepared a Janson's Temptation for dinner.
