Another lazy day in Gothenburg

Dec 28, 2008 18:46

Had coffee with brother+his wife at Java, so now it feels like I've been to Gothenburg for real. No visit is complete without a coffee at Java. Sister and I did some food shopping, and then she's been busy trying to make saffron cheese cake all evening, while I prepared a Janson's Temptation for dinner. I haven't been able to cook it yet though, since my sister was far too optimistic about time and her baking. So, late dinner tonight. Also waiting for J to pop in for tea, and later we might go out for a glass, if it isn't too cold. I've regressed into an even lazier person than usual back here at the parents'.

I have read some smashing yuletide fic as well. Loved the Nicholas/Mark The State Within fic, also some great Temeraire fic about Tharkay!! I so hoped that someone would expand on his character, since I adore him in the books, and there were at least two fantastic stories about him (and Laurence and Granby). The Generation Kill stories were fantastic as well. I haven't read any of the Merlin ones yet, but there were quite a few to choose between. And then all the other small fandoms I haven't even looked at yet. I don't have time to look around as much as I would have liked, but then the wonder of yuletide is that the archive will be there after Christmas as well.
