Yeah, I figured it was time for an update; I've been either super busy or super not-caring for a while now, but it's never late than never.

Ahh... sweet internet.  Turns out, John's laptop has a built-in modem.  I'm once again connected to the world.... slowly, oh so damned slowly.  And sparingly, having to wait until John went to bed.  I hope nobody tries to call me... Verizon continues to be a bitch.  First, our internet was to be hooked up on the 20th.  Then they inform us that it's actually hooked up five business days after our requested hook-up date (thanks for telling me Kevin).  So yesterday, we have no internet.  Now they say it will be hooked up on the 31st.  So John calls and bawls them out; he's told ( Read more... )

Well, I'm officially moved in!  At least, all my stuff is there.  As for being put away.... not so much.  But it's productive.

I currently have no internet at home so I'm going to be awol for probably another week.  I don't have time to post anyway.

I'm off to buy (or rather, let my parents buy) my first very own washer and dryer! 

I just bought $200 worth of new house stuff at Bed Bath & Beyond - and with my husband!  No fights, no grumps about money, just "look at this, this is a good idea," and "you're right, it is, and it's a good price, let's get it!"  And as Panda said, it does indeed seem like the body snatchers took us.  And I like it!  :)

I don't know what's hardest about packing; not yelling at each other, giving up our entire weekend and actually getting everything done, letting go of the "but I can use that - eventually" attitude and actually throwing stuff away, fighting off the allergies, or disturbing the kitties by taking away the empty boxes that they have turned into a play ( Read more... )
