Last week my parents went to a pow wow down near where I grew up.  I begged and begged until they came to one up here last year and they loved it.  And that was a big deal for my mom, who denied her Native American heritage until her own mom died.  So when one appeared 20 minutes away from where they live, they decided to take a look.

I went to Stovers Farm orchard today for apple picking.  It was only me, Josh, Carrie and her family, which was nice.  I do better with small groups.  Josh and I went off on our own somehow and found the biggest apples I've ever seen.  They're about the same size as both of John's fists together.  And they are wonderful!  Sweet, juicy, crispy but ( Read more... )
