I swear to God, I am never again going to be so foolish as to countenance a situation where one of the bills for the flat I'm living in is still in the name of someone who doesn't live there anymore.

( Apparently it's completely OK to cut off phone and internet two weeks before I move out of my house and me begging for this to be avoided through the simple expedient of calling BT is an unreasonable request )

Yesterday I went to the High Court with S in the morning, and then was reading case papers and writing pro formas for a family case for one of my two new pupil supervisors. All well at chambers. M keeps giving me written work to do, which is good, as I need the practice and the exposure to the nitty gritty of the Immigration Rules and associated legislation. My flight home from Vancouver on 6 January was cancelled. I found this out whilst having a blissful visit with both the new babies, Joanna and Chris's little mini-Jo, Jack, and Jessica and Justin's tiny three-week old bundle, Zayden, at Jess and Justin's house, so I couldn't even find the wherewithal to be terribly annoyed. British Airways cabin crew voted yesterday to strike between 22 December and 2 January. My flight home is booked for 23 December. Their website says that they will offer reroutes (or refunds). However -- see the answer to question 1I am trying not to panic. Or cry ( Read more... )
