Last week, I got hammered.  I worked about 10 hours extra.  Which doesn’t sound like a lot, but actually is when things aren’t planned for it.  By adding extra hours onto a few days, what was once a half-load becomes a full-load.  Or close to it.  It’s like the difference between 7 and 8 hours of work; it’s less work but the hour amount is close ( Read more... )

While last week I turned in my project proposal, I was unhappy with it. Partially since I think it was horribly written. But mainly due to having so little research sources to cite yet (due to having not sifted through everything to see what use it might serve). In the half week since settling on the myth, I’ve retold what it is to three different people, each time refining my telling. Due to the various versions and nuances, the exact account I wish to convey needed to be created. After spending a good two hours on my feet, reading various books, I finally alighted on a small story. It was told as an aside in one book, but the implications were so humorous that I had to delve further to learn the whole story.
