The HVAC guy on Tuesday said that the technicians were scheduled for 8:00, but might be here as early as 7:30. So I was up and dressed just in case. I am sad to report that when I swept the deck to clear it for the HVAC guys to replace my furnace today that there was at least one froggie corpse buried in the leaves.

I know some of you were disappointed when I reported the end of frogs at Frogholm...

Well, this morning the ceement pond was flooded and needed pumping. When I was out on the deck, I spotted a 4-5 inch giant specimen of frogliness. Presented here for those of you who have missed the frogs of Frogholm.

I kinda feel like things are starting to calm down at work. Either that, or I’m becoming numb to the stress. At any rate, I kinda feel like I am starting to have a handle on things. I know I haven't mentioned the frogs much this year. That's because we haven't had much water out in the ceement pond, and I haven't actually seen them yet this year. And the deck is dry this morning, even though it was humid and the A/C was running all night.

WHOOT!

The plumber has been and gone. My bathtub now drains freely. I have new burstproof hoses on my washing machine. And the drain out on the deck has been cleaned out. And he recycled the cover from my bathtub to fit over the drain in the deck and keep the rocks and leaves out of the drain pipe. Whoot ( Read more... )

Had to run out early this morning to take Tripp to the dealership for an oil change and his 60k mile checkup/tuneup. Plus I had them look at the windshield wipers, as there has been occasional weirdness (intermittent wipers giving TWO swipes at a time before pausing) and I don't want to have my wipers suddenly poop out on me during a rain storm. I pumped the deck this morning, before Irene shows up and dumps water all over Frogholm.

While I was out there, I spotted a wee froggie. Which brings this summer's Frogholm population up to two. It's the first time this summer that I've spotted anyone but the big guy.

Oh, and there was a mouse out there last night too.
