I read for Portia once.

Then they had these two other women read the role twice each. One of them was REALLY good. I have no idea how her vocal audition went because she came the night before.

At the end, they had us line up in groups. I was matched with an older set of step-mother/sisters. The other group was young.

I don't know what to think. :S

Singing audition: pretty good
Dancing audition: mostly great

Call backs tonight. Actually got called back.  Right away!

Will I get the part of Portia, the stupid step-sister?????????

Will I actually sing SOLO on stage??????

• Finished eating sweatsock dinner from two nights ago for lunch this afternoon.  Went to the store to buy stuff to cook dinner tonight and ended up with "Tastes like burned dirt" pasta.  Hrmph.  Do NOT, under any circumstances, purchase Sinatra's pesto sauce.  VOMIT.

Living in the shadow of a really good singer can be a pain.  As I grew up, it became evident that my brother was the one with the vocal talent and I was more of a character actor.  This caused a problem for me, however...
