Quickie

• Finished eating sweatsock dinner from two nights ago for lunch this afternoon.  Went to the store to buy stuff to cook dinner tonight and ended up with "Tastes like burned dirt" pasta.  Hrmph.  Do NOT, under any circumstances, purchase Sinatra's pesto sauce.  VOMIT.
• Christmas decorations are (mostly) up.  My bandy-legged santa theme did not do well in the move, however.  Many Santas are now gimpy.  But, it's nothing that I can't hide in the tree.  Only things left to do are hang the lights and the garlands.
• Auditions are rapidly approaching for M*A*S*H* through the local community theater.  I'm trying to decide if I think I have the stamina to do a show during school.  It might do me some good to have a positive in my evenings.  I've been really mopey lately with all the financial and career woes (among other things) and I know it would do me some good, but I'm just not sure I can handle the additional stress.
• T minus 17 days til Mom gets home.  I need to get my butt in gear and get the house cleaned and unpacked.  I haven't done a smidge of improvement since she left (and, oops, there are many things that are still in the same place since the last time she was here that obviously haven't found their way to their right homes yet...).
• Today was a day I hate.  Combine a huge number of substitutes in the building with the rain AND indoor recess and you have a RECIPE FOR DISASTER.  Add to that that it was the day of my rotation that I hate the most and you have ONE CRANKY LIBRARIAN.  The kindergarten sub was most heinous.
