Last night me, Husband, all 3 kids & our friend H went to H's SIL's house for dinner.   While there, SIL's husband decided to give us all double shots of bourbon.  He didn't get bad, but the rest of us kind of did, especially H.  I've known her 20 years & I've never seen her that bad.  She fell off a bench.  She was crying, which is very rare for ( Read more... )

Well, I have a job interview on Friday.

1. Found her husband lying dead in bed in the middle of the afternoon.

2. Had to struggle to pay for his funeral, & uncovered some icky in-law family politics.

3. Been depressed.

4. This past Saturday, had her car die on her in front of my house.

5. Got the car fixed on Monday (of this week) for $400!!!

Yes, I truly believe there's a ghost in my daughter's room.  I went to kiss her goodnight on my way to bed the other night, & I saw a lot of...extra darkness in the one corner of her room.  It was kinda creepy & gave me a weird feeling.  The next day she told me there was a ghost.  I asked where & she said the exact corner where I'd seen the extra ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my April Fool. After being told I'd be on 1st shift starting in April, I had to work 3-11 last night. It was cool; we had arrangements for the kidlets, etc. But a while after I got there, I called my fiance to find my good friend H is in the hospital. Worse: finding out your dad has died by reading it in the obituary section of the paper, not because anyone has bothered to call you.

Even Worse: finding yourself and your good for nothing  brother have not been listed as your dad's survivors.

Sweetie's grandma died on the 21st.  4 months to the day after my mom.  Grandma was 93 & in very bad health.  She had a clot in her arm which was making it black & they were talking about ( Read more... )

Well, today is my 35th birthday.  W00t! I guess.

I found out yesterday one of my oldest friends had a stroke 2 weeks to the day after my mom died of one.  She apparently has a blood condition that lead to the clot in her brain.  She's home, thank god, and apparently recovering well.  Jeeezus.
