I did end up completing the gallery wall on Friday. I have to say, it turned out better than I expected and I am quite impressed with the tightness and rigidity of my lines throughout... a controlled chaos, if you will.

One thing that has kept me busy this summer has been gardening. I took it upon myself to improve my apartment building, much to the delight of my landlady. On December 11th, a month after making a huge, carried-out spectacle over her monitor "going bad" Miss Managed received a new monitor. It wasn't as simple as deciding the new one was bad, requesting another one from the Boss who would of course say it was fine and then ordering one. It was this whole thing. Belding and I carved our patch of pumpkins we picked up on Sunday. His are definitely more detailed and artistic. Mine are my usual rudimentary carvings. Right now they are all piled in the front windows, but I'll probably move them before bed, as I see the cats are already unamused with all the ruckus.

Hibiscus

A giant red flower of my parents favorite hibiscus. Somehow this one has managed to stay alive outside through the winter and comes back every summer. I thought such a thing was difficult in our climate.
