Abby and I took a walk up to the park at the top of Quincy Hill close to our house today. It really is amazing that it's so near where we live. It is a climb because it's even further up the hill than we are, but it's so worth it. It's so peaceful and calming up there. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous, and today is, too, so I've taken advantage of it and am gardening my little heart out. It's so much fun! We got some woodchips to put around the perimeter of the backyard to keep "mudfoot" (Abby) from tracking in every bit of squishy stuff from outside when it rains, and I got a little extra to use in the front ( Read more... )

Spring in West Virginia! It is so beautiful outside. Yes, the rain required for that beauty is making our backyard a mud-pit and our dog a mud-foot, but the results are so gorgeous.
