Yesterday, on my way home from work, my third-gear synchro failed in such a manner as to render my transmission $4000 worth of broken. So, through the auspices of my Lexus dealer, who gave me $4K in trade on it, I now have a charcoal gray 2007 Subaru Impreza wagon and a car payment again. Drats ( Read more... )

While roastdmallow has been visiting Las Vegas, it's just been me and Hermes at home. It's not been completely tranquil, though, as he had a resurgence of digestive trouble that made for some cleanup on my part. Yesterday was marginally productive - the battery for the Buell recharged overnight, so it was good to go after I'd left the light on for a few hours on Friday, and I went out to run some errands. So, my cat has decided to be needy and social again, after a couple of weeks of sleeping in the back room and mostly ignoring me except at mealtimes. It's been a fairly full week, even if I have been getting off of work early this week (I'll be making up for it next week, when I'm in Florida). I got the GTO aligned, and it's driving well.
