I attempted at least 5 times to pill Zia this morning. I knew it would be bad because trying to get 2 pills down her last night was really freaking tough, and she knew what to expect this morning. Last night I suddenly acquired TWO cats with vomiting and the runs. At least Chiaro is on meds now, but I had to take Zia in this morning for what appears to be the same damn thing. So I sprung for a blood test and subcue fluids for Chiaro (the vet had trouble getting blood because Chi was dehydrated) and...her stats are mostly normal and her white count is normal overall...except that two indicators are flip flopped. Could be an infection or could be lymphoma. They also gave her anti-nausea meds and she's gone 24 hrs ( Read more... )

Cesare's x-rays were normal. He's feeling perkier today, ate pretty good, has been busy picking on his sisters when he's not napping or cuddling with me. Ultrasound is Monday. I'm beat and the cough is getting pretty bad again. There's a spot at the back of my throat that's just raw, freaking air hits it wrong and I start choking and gagging. ( Read more... )

Cesare has had another round of subcue fluids and is sulking down in the basement. At least he's peeing like a champion! I'm home because I puked in the shower this morning and my stomach's still wonky, even though I'm pretty sure coughing was the cause. Bronchitis and sinusitis together this time! And yet I don't feel as crappy as I could, I still have some energy if I could just stop coughing. I can't catch my breath after a bad spell and it sucks. Cough has been quiet now (mostly) for a few days, at least no gagging and vomiting. My mouth tastes like metal though, even woke myself up night before last 'cause I swallowed in my sleep and it tasted gross. Going to try taking zinc on advice of dr sibling unit, I need to boost my immunity somehow so I quit getting every little virus that comes ( Read more... )

Saw my dr again yesterday because I went downhill again after finishing meds for bronchitis. Now I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. Another round of antibiotics, this time targeting my sinuses, and more codeine cough syrup so I can get some sleep. Stayed home Thursday to do just that, since I'd been awake since 2 AM that morning coughing ( Read more... )
