Today was zero_gravity's last day at our work. I helped hire her nine years ago, and she was one of the best customer service people we ever had. Now, as Clockwork Zero, she makes steampunk jewelry, and with the notoriety she has gained from Wired, she could make a living at this. Annoyance du jour: Co-workers shouting into their telephones.

Amusement du jour: Vendor sending announcement about maintenance using an old version of my own announcement template, pretty much word for word.

I logged into the global company meeting. Quick voiceover intro by James Earl Jones, followed by a longer voiceover with Kiefer Sutherland going on about "As the world moves to IP..." before our company president comes on.

So anyway, Finn McCool's has very good food. The chowder was excellent, and the salmon was pretty good too.

We went back to sposter's, where we watched the pilot of Blood Ties on sexybass's big TV. The DVD quality was poor, but the TV was amazing. I've watched this four or five times, but I noticed details I hadn't seen before. Tom showed us some other channels ( Read more... )
