well, the workman did come to fix my chair on Friday afternoon (YAY!) but sadly, it still isn't quite right. It goes the right speed going straight ahead, but to turn it just creeps. It has been snowing for ever so long... this afternoon, we had 8". By now we surely have at least 2" more, and 3-6" MORE is expected tonight. No school tomorrow, again, for obvious reasons. And it was so nice to be able to use my Jazzy chair away from home. Timber and Bobby (both firemen) dissembled the chair and moved it up to the car for me, then brought it back down a week later (both on Sundays) so I could use it. Someone in a group that I am in made a comment that I must not be too financially in trouble since we bought a new car. Let me explain: We traded our car in, and got another car that would take the hitch. We loved our car, and didn't want to trade it, but it couldn't take the weight of the chair and lift.  Today is the first day I've been alone, really, since May. Bear has gone back to work -- students don't come back until Thursday, so he has all day today to get his room ready and such. Today, a couple of fire fighter friends are going to come to our house and lift my chair (piece by heavy piece) up to the car so we can reassemble it and put it on the car lift.
