I was supposed to go to Furulunds, the mega-fabric store in Borås, today with Kerstin but am just too totally under the weather. I am seriously considering climbing back under the covers for a nap instead. I have sewn them in but haven't managed to take pics yet. The gussets really "made" the shape of the dress bodice.

Of which I long have had an irrational fear. But ack! No more! I have partially sewn in the underarm gussets in my Titanic gown and yet live to tell the tale! Tomorrow I shall even post pictures!

I've made up the dress in the intended fabrics: maroon flowers on a beige background for the main part of the dress and old rose shiny for the contrasting front panel. Then I found that the neckline of the bodice front panel was entirely too low even though it was ok when I was testing the gown on my dummy. So I made a new panel; this was no ( Read more... )

Yep, folks, I am still wrastlin' with the mock-up in easter egg fabric! I want the front panel to be wider than originally intended; this is simply a matter of taste.
