I haven't even finished planting all the bulbs that were just shipped to me, and yet, I am still looking at plants that I want for the yard in the spring. I may have to hire a gardener.

What an amazing evening tonight! The weather's perfect, especially after yesterdays weather, and I'm crossing my fingers that it will keep up like this for the next few days. I managed to get the whole weekend off because I worked last weekend and the girl I was covering for last Sunday worked my shift yesterday. I actually get a three day weekend, because I'm now getting Sun/Mon off and this is the first week of that schedule. Completely unplanned and I'm enjoying every minute of it ( Read more... )

I know that I've talked about the bunnies that live in my yard before. This year, there are three. They have become so tame and trusting of me, that I can walk up to them and get quite close. I picked up my roommate from the airport late last night and spent the drive home catching up. He had been gone for over a month, so we had a lot to catch up on. It's good to have him back home, as much as I enjoy being a hermit and sometimes having the house to myself, it's always good when he's back. These are the irises that have had me in a quandary for the last year and most of this spring. When I first bought the house three years ago, the front flower bed was the very first thing that I tackled (see entry here). Last spring I excitedly waited for my irises to do something.
