Part of Sue's small inheritance came through - and was set aside to get a new roof. We have a company coming sometime in the next couple of weeks to put a new one on... instead of shingles, it will be this heavy white plastic like stuff that reflects heat very well, plus repairs to the bad underlayment and a sealant layer under the plastic ( Read more... ) -

Well, after all these months, the newspaper is reporting that the woman who drove onto the wrong side of the road, ran over the little girl, then tried to drive off (and got into an accident) and when the mother confronted her, chugged a beer and laughed in the mother's face is in jail right now... the cops say she was high on crystal Meth ( Read more... ) -

The roof is still leaking. I haven't found the leaks yet, but they're up there somewhere... and it's going to ruin a lot of things (like expensive books) if we don't find them. We have three or four leaks that I know of (each where a oak branch had smashed down on the roof - but I can't find where the water is getting past the patches ( Read more... ) -
Two good days - that REALLY tired me out!

Some Good news! (Knock on wood!)
The cow kitty is using his leg more and more, and seems to be back to his usual self. We do need to get him (and the other strays) fixed and with their shots - about $75-$100. That's going through the TNR program at the SPCA. But his leg is healing up (it looks like something might have grabbed him or pinched his leg joint ( Read more... )
