Not being involved in the entertainment industry, I usually don't do much when the Academy Awards come around, but last year and this year I've gone to DocuDay. It's a screening of all the nominated short and long Documentaries that are nominated for the Academy Awards--held right before so that the film-makers are around to talk about their films ( Read more... )

Finally... Comic Con report, late, as usual, but I was totally wiped out afterward and caught the con-crud (combination of cold, too much air-conditioning, talking over the noise & general exhaustion).
