MiniPlu is back from her senior-class trip to Disney World/Universal Studios in Florida! ( In which she has fun but is exhausted and also unexpectedly had to get up before 4a to come home )

Last week I was able to work at the middle school for just the second time all year - it's harder to find a position where I can have another adult in the classroom with me all day, compared to at the elementary school. Today, MiniPlu and I took the train into NYC to see Chicago! the musical. This was MiniPlu's "big" Christmas present this year, although not actually from us (her aunt/uncle and Pop-Pop chipped in to the cost) - but I was the one who bought the tickets initially, and packaged a mock-up of the tickets in a box with paper layers separating each item ( Read more... )

Saw the high school production of Beauty and the Beast on 23 Feb. Some of it was pretty good - they managed to have a rose that wilted throughout the show, and a real stained-glass window. The kids were cast pretty well, too. But the orchestra was too loud, making it ( Read more... )

So, thanks to the Trump administration and our new Attorney General (who supposedly pressured DeVos into agreeing, Two no longer is guaranteed a safe place to pee at school.
