I've been dithering for weeks about trying to visit my dad for a couple of days in mid-May, between the end of my spring semester and beginning of my summer term. I need to find a few outstanding tax documents (from both 2019 and 2020 tax years) I'm sure he has in his house (I have the rest) and get those finally filed. MiniPlu is back from her senior-class trip to Disney World/Universal Studios in Florida! ( In which she has fun but is exhausted and also unexpectedly had to get up before 4a to come home )

Unlike MiniPlu, whose Gotcha Day and birthday are about a month apart (we got her at 11 months old), Two's two events are a mere two days apart. Our flight to China actually departed on his 1st birthday. Which means that today is the 15th anniversary of the day Two was placed in our arms and we officially became his parents. In August, MiniPlu applied to, and was accepted to, a "focus on diversity" weekend at Mt. Holyoke College, wherein minority women or those who were "diverse" in other ways (ie economically or perhaps physically?) were brought in for seminars, two overnights (one in a dorm with a student host), and the chance to attend some classes. So, last week I went to visit my Dad in Oregon from Wed-Sat, and my mom for a bare 15-hour overnight visit, half of which was spent sleeping.
