I Puritani -The Metropolitan Opera

May 11, 2014 01:37

Alright, so I'm tired, but I thought I should document a few things, perhaps in bullet points, to make this go faster:

• I went to the Metropolitan Opera for the first time ever tonight, and I saw Bellini's I Puritani. Beautiful songs, though the story was pretty crappy. I looked beautiful, which made me happy. It's been awhile since I've felt elegant.

• I've decided to move back to Colorado on July 1st, where I'll be able to travel, prep for grad school, and have fun without the insurmountable stress of the New York lifestyle

• I'm getting work as a blogger now. The deadline for my first two pieces this upcoming week. I really, really hope I can turn out good stuff, or else it'll be embarrassing. I think I can do it, though.

• I go to yoga and meditate every day-these are the only things that seem to be getting rid of that swimming feeling and clearing my head; they seem essential to my daily life, to my sanity.

• John has a new girlfriend named Caroline Gartshore. I'm heartbroken but working to get over it. I'm working really hard to get over it, actually. Oh well...it was bound to happen, and it happened awhile ago. I guess I'm just finally digesting it.
