Like so many other people, my Daddy was in the service.  He had amazing stories to tell, and amazing stories he couldn't/wouldn't share.  My brother also served... in his case in the submarine service.  I have such respect and admiration for all who serve our country, and our world.  God bless you all ( Read more... )

But it has been a wonderful week here in the Lowcountry.  Reesie came for Easter break!  A wonderful surprise.  Today I went with DeeDee and we spent the day going to nurseries and I got a tiny baby crepe myrtle, which will only get 10' tall and fits beautifully under the power lines to the house.

It is late to begin gardening here in the Lowcountry, but winter being what it was, it is what it is.  Today, gorgeous sunshine and 80s.  Time to shake off the malaise of winter and get into the FUN part of living in the South.  First... mowed the yard.  Yep.  Repaired that mower myself and it is working GREAT ( Read more... )

oh..I LOVE the vernal equinox...for me THAT is the beginning of my year.  Hence my ridiculous energy and omg! so much to do enthusiasm :D So here I am, finally returned from my second round trip to Ohio in ten days.  Run up...nab Amy, drop off Little A for a visit.  Next weekend... run up, drop off Amy, pick up Little A.
