1. Went to church today and announced (again, as I'd done in our congregation's Yahoogroup) that my mother passed away last Sunday. Got hugs from several people, which was nice. 1. Big news at work: Our bureau director (Ms. L) has been promoted. Starting on 11/28 she will be managing a regional office of our statewide agency. This is a big step up for her professionally and (she told me) her new office is only 2 miles from her house, so she'll probably walk to work a lot of the time.
