Not done packing yet. Plane leaves in about 12 hours *headdesk* Must get 7 hours of sleep, then I'll throw the rest of the stuff into the suitcase. The school gave its approval for Maya's excused absence today, but (she told me later) her teacher said "You really shouldn't go on this trip, because you've already missed a lot of school." 1. Maya and I got started packing tonight for our trip. I'm glad we did, because each of us figured out what we'll wear to the funeral, plus we got a lot of newly-laundered clothes folded and put away (mostly into the large rolling suitcase we're bringing with). 1. Went to church today and announced (again, as I'd done in our congregation's Yahoogroup) that my mother passed away last Sunday. Got hugs from several people, which was nice. I've been with this group of people a long time, close to half my life, and I really felt cared for today ( Read more... )
