The common plecos (aka suckermouth catfish) loves zucchini.  Really.  Just try it.  It's good for them too.  I gave my remaining algae eater a piece and he went at it for quite some time, eating as much as he could.  He also likes the algae disks (woo hoo considering the one I had before I bought the 10 gal tank refused to eat them).  And more than ( Read more... )

Monkey aka Mom bought me 2 algae eaters as a belated mother's day present.  My tank needed them.  A little over a month after the 2 I had died due to lack of food (I think) my big tank started to breed algae.  I've tried like hell to get it to stop growing so quickly, the tank gets gravel vacuumed once a week and with the algae growing like it has ( Read more... )

I noticed that sometimes when I think I'm typing a witty response to someone it comes off as being kinda mean.  :-\  Just an observation.  To follow up with, "Hah, sorry...  I decided to change the price of my beads in the Etsy shop.  After some thought I figured it might be better to just sell them at approximately $3 per 20 rather than $6.  Might make a sale that way.  There is very little overhead in paper bead making, especially since I'm getting my beads from magazines that I have hanging around.
