You all know that I am not usually one to simper over baby animals. However, I am completely charmed by Knut, the polar bear cub in the Berlin Zoo. He has the cuteness of a thousand puppies. And now he has his own theme song, too, complete with oompah band!

How is it that none of my f'list has yet posted the video of the giant squid captured off the coast of Japan? At 3.5 meters, it's still only a juvenile, but quite impressive nonetheless.
