I just found out one of my teachers from last semester died. He was married and had a 9 month old baby. How terribly sad.

For my own personal reasons, I won't get into too much detail. I'm trying to forget it all, as cliche as it is, I'm wishing it was all a nightmare and I'll wake up tomorrow and it will never have happened, but, I know that's crazy.

I cannot believe it's already been a year. In some aspects, though, it seems like it happened so very long ago.

It's sad to say the country really isn't all that better off one year later.
