Ok, so I've done some experimenting.

It turns out that I have no other recourse but to drink a can of energy drink a day. It's been a busy, yet productive few weeks for me here at home. The car has been handling well so far. I've driven it through a few different situations, and discovered a few quirks about how it behaves, but the mechanic told me that it was normal and gave the car the all-clear.
