Raising border collies is also probably a most joyful experience.

today is my second day of freedom from any job or work, but i have probably spent 70% of my time looking after Chester.

This morning, I realised that I needed 1 full hour to walk him, and then feed him. Chester did take a longer walk today, but it still took one entire hour!

i caught him
lifted his year
tried sticking the tube in his ear canal

he struggled
i held tight
i tried again
he struggled
i let him go

arrrgghh!

Today was Chester's turn to go to the vet.
Dr Darlene Lauw attended to us. By ARC standards, she was beyond that.

We went with the intention to

1. Check on the operation
2. Check his eyes. It has been red over the last few days, so I wanted to have it checked out
3. Check his skin condition

C and I took Chester to the Animal Recovery Veterinary Centre at Balestier Road on Monday (24 Mar) afternoon. The only other time I have visited the vet with Chester was at Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital. The experience - Mount Pleasant is like a government clinic, or a polyclinic.
