We are slowly but surely doing better.  The Boy went to schol today and came home with a note.  Not surprisingly he had not been paying attention in class.  He also handed me some artwork he had done during indoor recess.  It is a drawing of him crying into two buckets with an upside down cat at his feet.  Above the picture he wrote that he was sad ( Read more... )

The boy was in the shower, and I delivered his clothes. He asked me to wait because he was almost done. I said nothing, but closed the door.

He shouted, "Wait, wait! I' almost done. Wait, Mommy, I'm done. Stay and help!"

I laughed, and said, "I haven't gone anywhere...I'm right here. You can see me. The shower curtain is see through!"

My son just told me that chocolate is a "want", not a "need".

I'm trading him for a hamster.  Or maybe a chocolate bunny.   Any takers?

Ah.....now he says he didn't mean it, and that chocolate is indeed needed for daily life.  Smart boy.  He can stay.

Today I collected my camera from the service center. I dropped it off a week ago, and it has been waiting for me. Some of the features are missing, somehow, but the button is back, and it works. I took a bunch of photos and had fun resetting the date and the sounds. Now I just have to get used to holding it again. It feels good, but is four ( Read more... )

The boy's teacher sent this home today. His task was to circle the items which began with "H", and to color them. He chose blue for the horse because he "likes horses and it was a pretty color."
