Moving the world
The boy was in the shower, and I delivered his clothes. He asked me to wait because he was almost done. I said nothing, but closed the door.
He shouted, "Wait, wait! I' almost done. Wait, Mommy, I'm done. Stay and help!"
I laughed, and said, "I haven't gone anywhere...I'm right here. You can see me. The shower curtain is see through!"
"No, Mommy!" he cried, "I could not see you! The world was in my way!"
And then he pushed the world aside and began his day.
