Haven't bought any NEW vinyl records* since the recent resurgence, but have ordered a few "obscurities" from Discogs sellers to fill gaps in my already fairly large collection from the past. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I just can't see spending hundreds of dollars for a freggin' cellphone. This occurs to me every time one of the technology podcasts I watch starts talking about them. Highest I'd ever go for ANY phone would be $75. My current cellphone cost $15, and does all I need. It makes and receives calls when I'm away from the

Mom picked me up a 4-pk of Schick Hydro5 cartridges from Walmart recenrly, paid $16.84. Family Dollar sells the SAME blades for $12.50. So much for Walmart's claim of being the "low priced leader".

On the way home from work, I noticed my gas tank was "ridin' on empty". Only had $20 to spare to put in the tank until next payday (this coming Thursday). Now, just recently, I could nearly fill the tank with that amount. Just barely reached the half-way mark this evening.

Sigh....

The past two days, I've had to postpone my lunch at work by up to an hour, because of delivery trucks showing up earlier than usual. Normally, my lunch falls in the 5-6pm hour, so I go out to my truck and listen to "The News-Star Hour" on the radio.
