So I just got back form seeing the new Amazing Spiderman movie, which was seriously awesome!

I saw it in IMAX 3D because I had a pass for it, but I honestly don't think it needs to be 3D to be enjoyed.

So I went to see Green Lantern tonight.  Yes, I've seen the reviews and the fan reactions.  Meh.  But I'm a lover of the superhero genre and am willing to give anything a chance.

Boy am I glad I did! :)

So I just got back form seeing Thor.  And yes, it was made of much awesome.  Now I shall be honest and admit that I hvent' read teh comics, so I honestly have no idea how close the movie is to the source material.  That said........ *SQUEE!*

Has anyone read this?  I have to say that the art wasn't my cup of tea and I found it rather distracting.   But that aside, the story is interesting and well written.  It looks like one thing, then there is a small detail and it becomes another.  And of course it has Some Timmy and Dick time!  W00t ( Read more... )

Was fun!  Seriously.  In all the best ways I was hoping for.  There was a decent (though not very deep) story.  The acting was AWESOME.  And the F/X guys clearly had a blast doing their thing.
