I was at a bridal shower yesterday, with the bride being the future daughter-in-law of my mother's best friend, Leslie (convoluted I know). I've known Les my entire life and likewise, I've known her children for their entire lives, so of course there was no question that I'd be invited to the shower. I'm selfish. I missed my husband. I'm very glad he's coming home tonight.
