Here's what I spent the day doing (well, not all that long, since 11am maybe): Reading Maureen Dowd's book Are Men Necessary? I would like to note now that I *am* feminist, but I'm not necessarily too thrilled reading a book with that title. I read it for book club this evening. It wasn't my choice.

Dad got home today really early (for having done a 6 hours+ drive or so) He was here by 11am... He got up at 3 am cause he couldn't sleep and decided to get things ready to drive home. I have nothing to report other than I'm glad of my mother. Normally we drive each other slightly nuts, though I'd say that we were relatively close. Last night though, when I really needed her, my mother was wonderful. She listened to me say things she's heard times before, gave me a shoulder, and hugged me ( Read more... )
