Happy Earth Day all! I celebrated by noticing how nice it was outside when I was sprinting from my car (parked at the library) to my meeting with Dr. Madden in the Humanities building. Gorgeous day! Too bad I'm spending it inside taking notes :-(
AND in that meeting I got an informal confirmation that yes, I do have a TA position for next year! YAY MONEY AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE! (and yay that me being a mediocre RA didn't affect me negatively!)
I also learned though, to my extreme sadness, that my TA-ing would probably interfere with being able to take Acker's Old English class. WHEN am I ever gonna get to learn this language?! I've only wanted to take it since the summer before senior year of high school! I really think that Sisneros assigning Beowulf and Canterbury Tales and the Name of the Rose for AP English started me down the medievalist path. I'm glad I got a chance to tell him that when I saw him this summer.
I've had Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat stuck in my head all day. But I never burned my Joseph CD into itunes, so, disco music it is.
