I haven't gotten any work done yet this morning, cause I was too busy being a concerned citizen. The couple in the apartment downstairs yell and swear and crash things around in their apartment, and Casey and I have reported them to the landlord more than once, because it seems to escalate to more than just an argument. I know couples fight, but what we heard is not normal, and we were quite concerned for the safety of the girl downstairs. I hadn't heard them for awhile, but then this morning I heard a fight that really had me worried and so I went down to report it to Jennie, who said that their next door neighbor had also filed a few complaints had approached them once during an argument cause he was afraid the girl was being beaten from what he heard, and police came to the building. My complaint this morning was their last straw, and now they have 10 days to leave. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only concerned tenant in the building and that I won't be living above anyone potentially dangerous anymore. I just hope that girl (with her cute little dog) takes it as a cue to leave that guy for good.
Also, Jennie said they have a waiting list of people for that apartment plan too, so I don't feel bad that our building is losing a tenant while she and Bryan are trying so hard to fill the units! She assured me that she doesn't want people like that in her building. I'm sure there will be more fighting during the whole packing and being evicted process, so I plan to keep a sharp ear out for it, and my cell phone close by to call Bryan or the police if it gets bad.
Edit: The only time I can hear them clearly is when they're on the balcony. They are there now, and she's crying, and he's telling her it's all her fault. I want to scream down at him "Actually, I report YOUR yelling, so it's your fault you asshole." But I don't want to have to worry about him coming to my door or anything. >:-(
