You can't rhyme "things" with "things." Especially in the chorus.

In other news. I signed for an apartment in New York on the Upper West Side, and will be moving in probably mid to late August. I also, despite the fact that I am approaching my 29th birthday, am getting braces.

I always get annoyed with people who insist that they were fans of whatever (mostly music groups) long before they were popular, as if that made them some superior to the rest of us. And yet I've found myself thinking similar thoughts frequently lately.
