8.5 years is a long time to vest yourself in a relationship and then find out the person was just stringing you along. Ouch ouch.

I hope time heals her pain and she finds a healthy relationship again. I know exactly what you are going through also, it's so painful being so far away from our best friends we left behind in Keno. *sigh*
