Feeling thankful for my community.

My favorite thing to be thankful for, really. It encompasses nearly all the rest.

Blood Offering rangertarmac November 22 2007, 23:37:17 UTC
I too offered up some blood when my dull vegetable peeler slipped. After that I switched to a paring knife.

My fingers are still orange, but Sweet Potato Crab Bisque was worth it. Is there anything I can make with the peelings? :)

Veggie broth? Nothing else comes to mind, but I'm dopey at the moment.

Actually, that's a good idea. There's a bean soup I want to make, and using the yam peelings as a base for the broth would add a nice sweetness under the spice I'm likely to add.

Glad to hear you like American Gods cause you were losing points with Good Omens(One of my favorite books). I am a kinda slow reader at times and it is a book that I actually read twice! So... did you keep the tumor? I am sure they want to biopsy it, but how cool to keep it. Well... I am a Nurse so I would think it was cool. I guess its kinda gross to others! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

Nope, it went off to be biopsied. I'll send you a picture though.

Thanks for the thoughts. I don't think there's any risk of it being malignant. It'd been in my arm for years, and not grown much in a long time. Just one of those things I guess/hope.
