Meh. While the news crews were talking about the heavy losses millionaires in RSF were sustaining, the farm that I love so dearly sustained heavy damage. The owners lost their home, the greenhouse, and the office, and the crops are pretty well devastated.

A dear friend just posted that The Madre Grande Monastery has been burned. They were ordered to evacuate, and all of the people were able to leave safely. The most recent information is that the fire did burn the property, but they won't know the extent until they are allowed to return, most likely on Tuesday.

I had an Admin interview this morning (thanks Artemis_Hi!), and it's more money than I've ever made in my life for a job I could do with my eyes closed. I think it went well. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I Missed my Little Car!
The odd thing about the newer Chevys is that they are really short-people friendly from a driver's perspective with seat that made me tall, but you have to be tall to control the rear hatch! And drivers' side key lock only and internal hatch release only ? WTF? But it was much better than the pukey Taurus. They ended up detailing it after I swapped ( Read more... )
