Don't mind if I do.

What are they made of, though?

The blood of my enemies.

Rice flour, stevia, cinnamon, butter, eggs. They may not taste quite like a true snickerdoodle, but I thought everyone could use a pick-me-up.

ooc: strike is just a strikeout

Depends on whether you are my enemy, Little Pillar.

It's not that most of us aren't already used to eating fish without end, but the taste buds need variety. (What I would do for some peanut butter about now.)

I regret I don't have cold milk to go with them, but I've mixed up a juice punch that's rather good.

I can have all?

You can have some. But if these prove acceptable, the raw materials to make more are available.

Oh great! Is there any sugar in them?

Reply

zengodchild July 30 2012, 23:46:11 UTC
Stevia, it's a plant very similar to sugar though it does not cause blood glucose spikes the way sugar does. For now, we've got to carefully ration the actual cane because, dammit, I want to boil it for blackstrap and make RUM. But I guarantee when you have three of these in your mouth at once, you won't notice it isn't cane sugar (or high fructose corn syrup like they use in commercial cooking).

A part of me doesn't want to trust those cookies. Just so you know.

So noted, my suspicious fellow-buchou. =)

So what does the other part of you say?

Eat the cookies because what does not kill you makes you stronger.

The rest of you is wise.

Those look really good! It's amazing what people can make on this island.

Much of the thanks goes to Jirou-san and Tachibana-san, for what they had established before I arrived. If I had to bake these in the sun, it might have taken quite a while. The oven was very helpful.

Please enjoy, Kaidoh-kun.

Oh I see. You can bake cookies in the sun?

I wouldn't recommend it, it's difficult to get them hot enough to properly cook the egg, but in times of desperation improvisation also becomes desperate.
