Stevia, it's a plant very similar to sugar though it does not cause blood glucose spikes the way sugar does. For now, we've got to carefully ration the actual cane because, dammit, I want to boil it for blackstrap and make RUM. But I guarantee when you have three of these in your mouth at once, you won't notice it isn't cane sugar (or high fructose corn syrup like they use in commercial cooking).
Fake? Not exactly, it isn't chemically manufactured like aspartame and saccharine. Stevia has been used as a sugar alternative in Japan for years, it's a natural plant.
Come on one of my foraging trips and you'll learn all sorts of plants we have on the island.
By the way, I'm glad you didn't set yourself on fire the other night. The performance was enjoyable.
If nothing else, our island soujourn is useful for learning things.
Perhaps it's because fire handling and dancing normally is a traditional family art taught in secret and learned over the course of years. Everyone was more concerned for your safety than slighting your competence, Momoshiro-kun. Should you have been badly burned, treatment options are limited here. I appreciate your effort in creating such an entertaining evening for everyone.
There's no need to worry, we've got so many medical students here I lost track, not to mention we were being taught by Marui, and he's done firedancing in the past! The most important part is that I had fun doing it, heh. Been stuck here without entertainment for way too long.
Marui never lies, but don't believe a word he says. XD Hmm, perhaps we need an entertainment committee. We could stage our own Olympics here on the island, or create a theatrical performance where the parts are assigned by random draw, like in school. Costumes might be limited, but that's what imagination is for.

Of course I didn't set myself on fire! Why does everyone keep thinking that? I practiced for it.
