Talk about taking a fedish with history (Tudors) to far. I mean, I have to say, I've seen plenty of arranged marriages, but this seems to have no clue as to how inheritances and marriages work in real life.

Not to mention the pushing of a world that is better then Rowlings. Well, I get that it is mondo perfect, but a perfect world is not necisarily better.

Why would the wizarding world have marriage contracts which are apparently unbreakable (since no one even thinks to challenge them here) and last for nearly a century?

On a completely unrelated note, why wouldn't Hermione know the name of one of the top ten students in her year? She follows test results pretty closely.

You know, I'm watching a friend of mine roleplay a character who was accidentally bound into an arranged marriage (complicated story), and it's pretty interesting to watch.

The character went from "OMG RAAAAAGE WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS BEFORE IT WAS CONTRACTED" to "Well, I'm just the world's buttmonkey so I'll do it, but I don't have to like it and why doesn't anyone care about what I want *mutter*" to "okay, she's nice and we can get along" and is currently in the stage of "Hey, she doesn't fall asleep while I'm spouting magibabble; damn that's sexy".

Arranged-marriage plot in the hands of a competent writer? Good stuff. This fic? Yawwwwn.
